C'est La Vie ?

"要以個人活下去,而且向世界指出自己的存在基礎",村上春樹說,這就是小說的意義。

是否這就是小說的意義,我還不確定,但我能肯定的是,想"單純地作為個人活在這世界上,而且當面對(各式各樣、隨時隨地、天外一筆的)外在質疑時依然能夠堅定信念不動搖",這件事,很不容易。這麼說來,如果有誰能夠完成這件事,哪怕只是藉由想像的方式完成它,的確有將其紀錄下來的意義。

只是,我沒有想到的是,原來以個人的(不歸屬於任何團體的)狀態存在這世界上有這麼難,遠比想像中更加不安與顛簸,而舉步維艱的每一步,都只是離(他人)預設的終點更遠一些的,渺小而微不足道的,我的生命旅程。

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
